LOM: Consistency would be nice

Most of Sun's x64 servers have some sort of LOM, but while they're generally superficially the same (they call themselves the SP, they have a similar /SP and /SYS layout), all the different models differ in the details.

And we all know that that's where the devil is....

Why on earth are the steps to set the IP address subtly different between systems, for example?

Amen brother. And /SP/AgentInfo/Console? And WTF is up with /SYS? I should get power status based on a "show /SYS", but no longer.

And don't forget the security issues on a couple of the lowend boxes - first it was an open mail relay and then it was remote code execution...
I wish they'd bring back the lovely little card from the v20/40z - it just works!

Ah, there is a lovely shim on the T5220 which enables an ALOM compatibility layer. This is at least consistent, you should see if you have that on the x4150.
